The shape of the month is circle. The girls searched the house for circle shaped items. They also used coins (another circle shape) to buy pretend circle cookies.

Next they worked on the covers of this months my little journal. They practiced writing their name and drew a picture of themselves with a friend. We'll be working on these all month. I love how studious Elli looks when she is trying to write.
The girls played the meeting game. I set out the provided places cards and then the girls would take turns rolling the picture cube and running to the place it landed on to meet their friend. They played this for over 20 minutes and complained when I told them we were moving on to something else. Who knew they would have so much fun with such a simple game.
We used the cards from the meeting game and used the bus counters from day one to place votes on which place was our favorite: the ice cream shop won. The girls also made roads out of blocks and drove the buses around town to the different meeting spots.
We went outside and played tag. Inside the circle hula-hoop was the safety zone.
After we were all exhausted we went inside and the girls worked together to build a fort, where they played together.
As always, the day was finished with workbooks.
