Manipulative Giveaway!

Mother Goose Time is sponsoring a manipulative giveaway this week through their blog ambassadors.  Every monthly box from Mother Goose Time comes with two new manipulatives.  The manipulatives are used through out the month to help enhance the lessons.  They are the first things that my three year old digs out of the box every month.  She can't wait to see what new goodies we get.  Since we've been using Mother Goose Time for two years we've amassed quite a bunch of these.  The kids favorites are kept in a basket in the living room, and they get played with quite a bit.
Some times the box comes with lacing beads, which are great for fine motor practice.
Other months we get shapes, counting cubes, geo boards, and other math based items.
A lot of the months come with some sort of counter.  The animals are the girls favorites, but we've also received trucks, boats, food, etc.
And every once in awhile you get something completely different, like stamps, stacking games, magnet boards, etc.
The manipulatives make learning more hands on, and fun.

We've never tried Little Passports, but I know it's something Addie would love.  She loves getting mail, and with this program your child receives a monthly country kit.  The first month they receive the explorer kit with a mini suitcase, passport, world map, stickers and more.  Every month after that they are introduced to a new country with activity sheets, souvenirs, photos, etc.  We recently spent a few weeks learning all about Australia using library books and resources I found online, so if we had been receiving this kit it would have added a fun element.  This is a great way to get your children interested in geography.  You can use it alone or supplement it with other resources for a more in depth study.  And now for the great news, Little Passports has partnered with Melissa and Doug for a spring sweepstakes worth over $400.   Click Enter Now! below for your chance to win.  The contest ends on March 31st, so be sure to enter today.

Mother Goose Time Book Giveaway

Mother Goose Time is sponsoring a book giveaway through their blog ambassadors.  Every month a different book comes with their curriculum, and these are some of the books from past months.  I picked 4 books that you can enter for a chance to win below.
I let Addie pick the first book for the giveaway.  Her favorite was Baby Animals Learn and Play. It has beautiful photos of baby animals along with actions that the girls like to try out.  I like that the book is interactive and gets the girls up and moving.
The second book is Timber!  I think this is Elli's favorite, but it's kind of hard to tell with an almost 2 year old.  She loves looking at this book and it makes her laugh.  It's a cute story about a lumberjack who cuts down trees without realizing he's displacing the animals that live in the forest.  Once he sees what he's done he works on fixing the problem he created.  There is even a little song in the back of the book.
The third book is called Ocean Animals A to Z.  It's a trace the letter book written by Leslie Falconer.  Each letter of the alphabet is represented with a photo of an ocean creature.  The part that makes the book fun for kids is that they get to trace the letter different ways.  For example, letter U is for unicorn fish, and then the kids trace the u with their nose.
The last book is called Beatriz, Bananas and the Very Big Hat.  The pictures are cute and bright.  It's about a little girl whose hat is stolen by monkeys.  She has to figure out a way to outsmart them and get it back.

NOW FOR THE GIVEAWAY
If you would like to get your own book copies they are all available for individual purchase through amazon. This giveaway will be open from 3/23/15- 3/29/2015. Prizes will be fulfilled by Mother Goose Time. Must be 18 years or older to enter to win, and a resident of the USA or Canada. Void where prohibited by law.
