Superhero Glasses and Capes

This months Mother Goose Time theme is superheroes.
Elli loved making and decorating her own cape.  She's been wearing it to practice flying, aka jumping off the bed, for a few days now.
Her absolute favorite thing she's made so far was her super vision glass.  She taped cellophane into a paper wand and used it to see the hidden pictures on the vision cards.  You can't see the picture without the glass, so she was quite surprised when she looked through and saw animals on them.
Elli always likes using the look and find glasses with the monthly theme poster.  We get a new set in every monthly box.
Last months my little journal focused on a new letter every day.  This month Elli has been working on a new number every day.
Elli has also been getting lots of extra practice with writing in her more math and literacy workbooks.  These are an add on offered by Mother Goose Time that are great for 4-5 year olds who are showing an interest in beginning math and reading skills.
The manipulatives included in this monthly box are magnet wands and a set of magnetic letter tiles.  The girls used these to play a game.  They would roll the cube and fly the matching letters to it with the magnetic wands.  This is a good way to teach letter recognition to younger kids.
Elli loved the suggested book, which I was able to find on youtube.
