Doctors

Today's Mother Goose Time lesson was about doctors.  We wound up veering away from the lesson a bit today and doing other activities.  We talked a lot about the body and what is under our skin.
Elli loves puzzles, and thought making a life sized skeleton was great fun.
We talked about the different instruments doctors use.  Elli used syringes to paint, and looked at a Jackson Pollock painting for inspiration.
After painting with syringes, Elli got to use them to give her animals a check up.
She also practiced her surgical skills with a game of Operation.
We also worked on letter recognition.  Doctor starts with D, one of the letters of the month.  Elli had fun using the cookie cutters included in the monthly box to cut letters out of play dough.  Tomorrow we move on to police officers.
